Aquavitrum exists with the sole aim of recovering glass cullet from highly contaminated glass based waste streams.
Aquavitrum is a research, design and manufacturing company providing innovative equipment for Material Recycling Facilities (MRF). Within the glass industry globally the quality of MRF glass has long been recognised as too poor for re-melt and as such, the environmental benefits of recycling glass are yet to be fully realised.
Aquavitrum’s technology was invented by Paul Rogers in 2012. In 2013 private investors NdC Investments Ltd came on board to provide funding and skills to progress the development of the patented Aquavitrum Separator technology. A collaboration with the University of Southampton and funding from Innovate UK also assisted in the development of the technology.
